Privacy policy
Lore is a development version. It is a test service and may be interrupted at any time.
What we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive and store your Google account identifier, your name and your e-mail address, plus the dates of account creation and last sign-in. We do not receive your Google password, and we store no password.
We keep a session record (a random identifier, an expiry date) so you stay signed in. A usage counter records the day, your account, whether the answer was in reduced mode, and how long it took.
To improve the library, we also keep, for 90 days, the text of the questions you ask, how many book passages were found, whether the answer was in reduced mode, how long it took, and your thumbs-up or thumbs-down feedback, comments and document suggestions. These records are linked to your account only through a scrambled identifier, not your e-mail address, and we read them to decide which books to add and what to fix. We never record IP addresses.
What happens to your questions
To write an answer, your question and the retrieved book passages are sent to AI language models hosted by a third-party provider, through a relay we operate. The answer is shown to you. Questions are not added to the library and are not used to train models by us. Do not enter confidential or personal information in a question, since the text is kept for 90 days.
What we do not do
We do not sell or share your data, we show no advertising, and we use no tracking cookies. The only cookie is the session cookie required to sign in.
Your choices
You can sign out at any time, which revokes the session on our server. You can delete your account from the app (“Delete my account”): your account record, sessions, questions, feedback and suggestions are erased immediately. You can also revoke Lore's access from your Google account settings.
